Georgian Dream MP Levan Makhashvili purchased an apartment in the resort town of Bakuriani in 2025, according to his newly filed asset declaration.
The XI Convocation MP owns multiple properties in Tbilisi, including a 51 sq.m. apartment on Kazbegi Avenue, a 52.5 sq.m. apartment on Mindeli Street, and a 105.2 sq.m. apartment on Givi Kartozia Street - half of which belongs to his wife, Gana Shevchenko. Shevchenko also owns a 53.7 sq.m. apartment in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Makhashvili reported buying a 39.5 sq.m. apartment in Bakuriani for $31,000, listed under expenditures in the declaration.
According to the filing, Gana Shevchenko holds $20,000 in cash savings and earned GEL 95,420 last year as an individual entrepreneur.
Makhashvili himself received GEL 119,731 in salary for his parliamentary work in 2025. In addition, he served as a visiting lecturer at Tbilisi State University, earning GEL 1,809, and worked as an associate professor at East European University and European University, receiving GEL 4,422 and GEL 1,937, respectively.
