“The address at the United Nations highlighted the ongoing occupation of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, addressing the fact that Russia has occupied 20 per cent of Georgia’s territory—a reality that nobody disputes,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told the media.
“The territories of Georgia are under the occupation of the Russian Federation. This is well understood by all. Russia’s occupation of 20 per cent of our land is an undeniable fact. At the UN, we discussed the occupation, as well as the situations in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, reaffirming the importance of Georgia’s territorial integrity,” stated the Prime Minister.
