Exports of sunflower oil to Georgia are increasing. According to Geostat, the country bought 20,539 tons of products worth USD 20.4 million in 1H24, which exceeds last year's indicator both in volume and value.
In particular, compared to the same period of 2023, when 16,632 tons of sunflower oil worth USD 19.7 million were exported to Georgia, the value increased by 3.6%, and the volume - by 23.5%, which indicates that the country's exports became cheaper this year.
This year the price of sunflower oil is characterized by a downward trend. According to consumer price statistics, in June the product became cheaper by 14% annually.
As for the main exporting partners to Georgia, the main supplier of sunflower oil is Russia, which, according to the data of 6 months, accounts for 88% of the total exports.

In a relatively small volume, sunflower oil is also exported from Italy, France, Germany and Greece.
