Russian Bakery and Confectionery Products Become More Expensive for Georgia – Top Importers

Georgia imported 20,347 tons of bakery and confectionery products worth $67.35 million in the first seven months of 2026.

According to official statistics, the value of imports increased by 20% year-on-year, while the volume rose by 9.1%, indicating that imported products have become more expensive this year.

Russia is one of Georgia’s largest suppliers, and the average price of Russian bakery and confectionery products has increased. In January-July, Georgia imported 6,132 tons from Russia worth $14.5 million, compared with 6,232 tons worth $13.21 million a year earlier. The average price rose from $2,119 to $2,377 per ton.

Georgia’s top 10 suppliers of bakery and confectionery products in the first seven months were:

  1. Russia – $14.5 million, 6,132 tons
  2. Ukraine – $10.7 million, 3,579 tons
  3. Turkey – $9.4 million, 2,623 tons
  4. Poland – $8 million, 996 tons
  5. Bulgaria – $5.3 million, 968 tons
  6. Azerbaijan – $3.3 million, 2,037 tons
  7. Italy – $2.7 million, 595 tons
  8. Germany – $1.7 million, 258 tons
  9. Romania – $1.6 million, 452 tons
  10. Belarus – $1.3 million, 394 tons
