Anti-Western and pseudo-monotheism propaganda, encouragement and financing of pro-Russian groups, increased cyber-attacks on state institutions are taking place across the state - an indication of what to expect for the elections, - the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, said at the plenary session in the Parliament, where she is presenting her annual report.
According to her, a number of different provocations are based on the hybrid strategy, including the entry of the cruise ship in Batumi, the "Stalin icon" in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which aim to incite strife, confrontation and the threat of destabilization in society.
"The category of hybrid war includes mass Russian immigration, which had a direct impact on the economy and overall increased the country's dependence on Russian money and markets, as well as the share of Russian capital in the country. Also, a number of different provocations are based on the hybrid strategy: the resumption of flights, the unhindered entry of FSB and other high-ranking officials, the entry of the Russian cruise ship in Batumi, the Stalin icon in the Holy Trinity Cathedral... All this is aimed at inciting strife, controversy and creating the threat of destabilization," Zourabichvili said.
