Local greens and vegetable producer Herbia continues to show steady sales growth and is gradually expanding its operations. Founder Zurab Janelidze told BM.GE that the company has shifted from rapid expansion to stable growth, increasing sales by an average of 15–25% last year.
Janelidze explained that the company adds a new greenhouse every year, and this trend continues in 2026. A new facility is nearing completion and will deliver its first harvest this year. The expansion is part of Herbia’s previously announced investment plan and includes support from state co-financing programs.
According to the founder, Herbia is not focused solely on primary production; investments are being distributed across the entire supply chain, including greenhouses, processing, storage, logistics, and distribution. He emphasized that balanced development is essential for sustainable growth.
Founded in 2006, Herbia is now one of Georgia’s leading greenhouse producers of greens and vegetables. With 35 hectares of greenhouses in Tskaltubo and Bagdati, the company owns modern storage, cooling, and packaging facilities and holds a GlobalGAP certificate. Herbia supplies packaged produce to major supermarket chains across Georgia.
