Sales of school uniforms for public school students in grades 1–6 will begin on September 1 through both retail stores and a dedicated online platform, Education Minister Givi Mikanadze said. The first shipment of uniforms is expected to arrive in Georgia between August 20 and 25.

According to the minister, first-grade students are expected to receive their uniforms by September 15, while students in grades 2–6 will be supplied in two additional phases before the end of the first semester. He said production and delivery are proceeding according to schedule, and the contractor has inspected all six manufacturing facilities in China.

Mikanadze said the Education Management Information System (EMIS) has developed a dedicated online platform for purchases, while negotiations with banks are underway to offer discounts or other benefits for customers using selected bank cards. Retail sales points will also be established across the regions.

The fixed retail price of a full school uniform set is GEL 95 for both boys and girls. The government has signed a GEL 45.66 million contract to procure 1.801 million uniform items, with deliveries scheduled in three stages between August 25 and November 30, 2026.
