According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, the application process for Anaklia Port has been completed, and information about the companies that have expressed interest in the construction of the port will be presented to the public in the near future.
"Regarding the expressions of interest declared in connection with Anaklia, the acceptance of applications officially ended on June 19. We confirm that we have received applications from several international companies.
There are individual companies and there are associations and consortia of companies. Certain compliance criteria were required of companies, including information on financial stability and qualifications. Now, the study and processing of this information is going on and we will provide the public with information in the near future, including about the participating companies and their experience and all the information that we have requested from the companies.
At this stage, unfortunately, we cannot share more information with the public, however, our agency is working intensively to process these applications, but I will tell you that several applications were received from important international companies," said Davitashvili.
