E-commerce continues to grow rapidly in Georgia. According to a Geostat report, in 2025, 37% of the population purchased goods online or used a delivery service at least once in the past year, marking a 6 percentage point increase compared to the previous year.
The adoption of e-commerce is higher in urban areas, where 43.4% of residents shop online (up 6.1 points), compared to 26.1% in rural areas (up 6.2 points). The growth is particularly notable among women, with 41% using online shopping or delivery services, an 8.6 percentage point increase, while among men the increase is 3.4 points.
The 15–29 age group is the most active online, with 61% participating in e-commerce. Among the 30–59 age group, 38.3% use online shopping, while only 15.3% of the 60+ population do so.
The report notes that the rapid growth of e-commerce in Georgia is driven by improved delivery service coverage and the increased presence of local and international online retailers, including platforms like Temu and Shein.
