Businessman Giorgi Ramishvili announced that Silk Road Group intends to invest in a major 200 megawatt energy project, though he did not disclose further details. He made the remarks at the International Capital Markets Conference.
“We are currently in negotiations for a large 200 MW energy project. I cannot share more at this stage, but we will announce details soon. We are also beginning work on even larger energy projects,” Ramishvili said.
Ramishvili had previously indicated the group’s interest in energy investments in an interview with TV-program Business Weekly at the end of 2025, without providing specifics. He emphasized that the holding has already invested in the sector and highlighted the strategic value of combining digital projects, such as the $20 million data center, with energy investments for Georgia’s economy.
