The Wounded Warrior Support Foundation (WWSF) has had an active start to 2026. Total donations for the year so far amount to 561,749.00 GEL, generously provided by various corporate and individual contributors.

The primary purpose of the WWSF is to provide support in the areas of health, education, professional re-skilling, and adaptation. Additionally, the Foundation supports the Wounded Warriors sports team under the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, which successfully competes in international tournaments. With WWSF's assistance, and in cooperation with the British international charity Invictus Games Foundation, the team recently received seated basketball chairs and archery equipment. The warriors have already begun archery training with their new gear and are looking forward to upcoming international championships, including the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, UK.

A great deal of focus is also placed on educational activities. In December of 2025, the WWSF signed a memorandum with the SABADO Leadership Academy, established in Manglisi through the initiative of David Bezhuashvili's Education Fund. The Academy aims to help young people develop leadership skills through practical, experience-oriented learning that moves beyond traditional educational methods. Under this memorandum, the minor children of wounded military servicemen can attend various courses and workshops at the Academy free of charge. This ongoing process, which began last December, continues successfully into 2026. The WWSF extends its profound gratitude to the Academy and personally to Mr. David Bezhuashvili; together, through initiatives like this, we show how to stand by our heroes.

The WWSF ensures responsible reporting of its activities, with financial statements and annual reports published on the Foundation's website.

As of today, the WWSF has supported 32 wounded warriors, along with their minor children and spouses. The total amount spent on this support has reached 129,000 GEL.

Types of support:

  1. Surgeries: 64,163 GEL
  2. 50% co-financing: 17,677 GEL
  3. Support for minor children: 15,156 GEL
  4. Support for spouses: 9,708 GEL
  5. Various medical services: 8,646 GEL
  6. Professional re-skilling: 7,628 GEL
  7. Provision of medicines: 6,241 GEL
  8. Adaptation: 665 GEL

WWSF was founded in 2018 by Silknet for taking care of wounded warriors and their families and uniting the society around this idea. Silknet donates 300 000 GEL annually to the fund. Anyone can join the fund by donating any amount by bank transfer through the fund’s website (www.wwsf.ge) or use the charity number - 0 901 777 771.

Let us unite for our heroes!
