Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Li Yan, vows the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine is safe, and it has widely proved its effectiveness.
Ambassador said more than 100 million doses of the Chinese vaccine injections showed no serious side effects in more than 50 countries.
“The Sinopharm is a traditional inactivated virus vaccine that is why it has no serious side effects. It is exported to more than 50 countries. The safety of the vaccine is approved by lots of countries. World Health Organization already said that Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines are safe and effective. WHO is already considering authorization of Chinese vaccines,” Li Yan declared.
On top of that, the Chinese government gifted 100,000 doses of the Sinovac coronavirus vaccine to Georgia, the head of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), Amiran Gamkrelidze, said on Monday. Georgia also secured 100,000 Chinese Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine on Saturday. The country will start to use it after the WHO approval.
