Greek airline Sky Express has entered the Georgian aviation market, launching direct regular flights from Athens to Tbilisi three times a week.

The airline operates with Airbus A321 neo aircraft.

A reception marking the airline’s debut took place at Tbilisi International Airport, attended by key officials including Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the United Airports of Georgia, Tea Zakharadze, General Manager of TAV Georgia, and Ioannis Grylos, owner of Sky Express.

Irakli Karkashadze highlighted the significance of Sky Express’ entry, noting that “the new flights would strengthen air traffic between Georgia and Greece and improve passenger forecasts. I wish the airline success, many passengers and safe flights.”

Sky Express becomes the third airline, after Aegean Airlines and Wizz Air, to offer direct flights between Georgia and Greece. In 2024, Tbilisi and Kutaisi international airports served 186,782 passengers travelling between Georgia and Greece.
