Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze said on Thursday, that the tender procedures regarding the Anaklia port project will be completed in May.
As Irakli Kobakhidze told the media, infrastructure works will start from June.
"As for Anaklia, the procedures have already started. By the end of May, the company that will lead the works will probably be identified. Moreover, we are planning to start infrastructure works already from June.
As you know, the government directly invests in this area, in terms of the development of Anaklia port. Accordingly, we will not only complete the procedures, but we are planning to start specific works related to the construction of Anaklia port from June," added the Prime Minister.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the government has a clear plan regarding the Anaklia port project.
"Procedures will start in March. It will take March, April, May to complete the tender. The tender procedure will be completed by the end of May, and it will be possible to start the works from June. This is a clear plan that the government has and we will certainly follow this plan," said the Prime Minister.
