Starbucks is set to open its first outlet in Georgia in summer 2026 on Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue in Tbilisi’s Axis Towers, with further expansion planned in the following months to other cities across the country, according to Enterprise Georgia.
The brand will enter the Georgian market in partnership with Alshaya Group, one of Starbucks’ largest licensed operators globally. The rollout marks the long-awaited entry of the global coffee chain, after its initial planned launch earlier in March was postponed indefinitely.
Officials say the project is expected to support job creation and contribute to Georgia’s economic and social development. The introduction of Starbucks was made possible through cooperation between Enterprise Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Georgia’s diplomatic missions in Kuwait and Turkey, alongside extensive negotiations with Alshaya Group.
Alshaya Group currently operates more than 800 Starbucks locations across Eurasia, while Starbucks itself runs over 40,000 stores worldwide, making it one of the most recognized coffee brands globally.
