The Georgian government will continue subsidizing electricity fees in 2024 for socially vulnerable families having less than 150 thousand rating points in the United Database.

Subsidizing electricity fees was discussed at the Economic Council meeting chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Government Administration on Saturday.

Health Minister Zurab Azarashvili remarked at the meeting that subsidizing will stand even though the Georgian National Electricity Regulatory Commission (GNERC) reduced the electric power fee by 3 Tetris.

According to the Minister, electricity fees will be covered by up to 12.5 Tetris for the socially vulnerable. Approximately 250,000 families will benefit from the subsidizing program.
