TBC Capital will increase the economic growth forecast. As chief economist of TBC Capital Otar Nadaraia told BMG, the revised forecast for the six-month economic growth rate is higher than their previous forecast, so they will revise economic growth of 7.2%.
"The dynamics of economic growth in the last months is higher than the monthly distribution of the previous scenario planned on 7.2%. Therefore, we will probably look at the forecast in the next week, which will be higher than the current forecast, although we will specify the exact rate in the next week", says Nadaraia.
According to Geostat's preliminary assessment, in June 2023 compared to the same period last year, the economy of Georgia grew by 7.7%, and the average real growth in January-June was 7.6%.
