Tbilisi City Hall drafted a bill to be submitted to the parliament initiating tightening of sanctions for exceeding noise norms, said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze at the municipal government meeting.
According to Kakha Kaladze, sanctions aim to protect human rights.
The first time, physical individuals will be fined with GEL 150, while legal entities with GEL 1500. If the violation is repeated, a fine for physical persons will rise to GEL 500, while legal entities will get a GEL 5 000 fine.
The City Hall has held consultations with the parliament over the issue.
