Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani Bought a Harley-Davidson and a 1994 Mercedes in 2025 – Asset Declaration

ირაკლი ბენდელიანი

Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani purchased a used Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a 1994 Mercedes-Benz E280 in 2025, according to his newly submitted asset declaration. The document shows that he acquired the motorcycle at the beginning of the year for 23,000 GEL, while the Mercedes was purchased in October for $3,700.

The declaration indicates that Bendeliani does not own real estate. His wife, Tamar Lobzhanidze, owns a 124 sq.m. apartment on Devi Abashidze Street, bought in 2008 for 20,000 GEL. In 2025, Bendeliani earned 85,941 GEL as Deputy Mayor, while his wife received 18,613 GEL over five months working as a lawyer at the Georgian Energy Development Fund. The couple reported no bank deposits or cash savings.

Bendeliani, a lawyer by profession, has been serving as Tbilisi’s Deputy Mayor since 2017, following Kakha Kaladze’s election. Before that, he held several senior roles in the energy sector and government agencies, including Director General of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company, Deputy Head of the Administrative Department at the Ministry of Energy, and Head of Procurement at the Energy Development Fund — during periods when Kakha Kaladze served as Minister of Energy.

He began his public service career in 2005, starting at the State Procurement Agency and gradually advancing into senior administrative and procurement roles across various state institutions.
