Tbilisi International Airport has accomplished its next large infrastructural project through which additional area was created for the immigration zone, the border control zone capacity has increased with 44% and the number of border control kiosks has become 12 from the previous 9.
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili, United Airports of Georgia Director Irakli Karkashadze and Civil Aviation Agency Director Givi Davitashvili have visited Tbilisi international airport today to see the results of the completed works.
The General Manager of the company operating Tbilisi and Batumi international airports Tea Zakaradze provided to the guests detailed information on the completed works as well as on those still in progress, after the completion of which the departure hall business lounge will be expanded and a Fast Track will be arranged, allowing business class passengers and passengers with special needs to undergo the relevant procedures in the minimum amount of time, without standing in a queue.
“Shortly we will add the 13th border control kiosk to serve the Fast Track passengers. The Fast Track option is new to Tbilisi International Airport and it will add more comfort for our passengers. 2 200 000 GEL were invested in the project. We come with future plans, continue our projects and in the nearest future we are going to expand the arrival terminal.” – Tea Zakaradze stated.
