A new municipal motorcycle inspection unit, or Moto-Inspectorate, has been launched in Tbilisi to strengthen enforcement of urban order across the capital, Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced during today’s city government meeting.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Tbilisi Municipal Inspection Service, aims to ensure better control over the city’s appearance, environmental cleanliness, noise pollution, and violations related to construction and administrative codes.
“Maintaining urban order is one of our top priorities. We’ve already taken several meaningful steps in this direction. Today, I’m introducing a new project by the Municipal Inspection Service that will help us respond more swiftly and efficiently, especially in key tourist areas, historical districts, central squares, and major avenues,” Kaladze said.
According to the mayor, the new unit has been equipped with European-standard motorized tricycles, specialized uniforms, and modern technology to maximize mobility and rapid response capability.
