Tbilisi plans to modernize city infrastructure over the next four years, including renewing the “Tbilservice Group” fleet, upgrading the Didi Lilo landfill, and financing projects under the “Homeowners’ Associations Support Program.”
Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani said the fleet will be replenished with 24 new special vehicles by March 2026, while outdated outdoor lighting will be replaced with LED fixtures, cutting electricity costs by 55%.
Other projects include the rehabilitation of the Beliashvili Street transfer station, completion of new waste recovery and gas collection systems at Didi Lilo, and a waste prevention and recycling strategy.
The Homeowners’ Associations Support Program will receive 250 million GEL to finance retaining walls, drainage and sewage systems, as well as new squares and sports fields across all 10 districts of Tbilisi.
