Giorgi Kevanishvili, General Director of Lopota Lake Resort & Spa declares, that the launching of Telavi International Airport will take the potential of Kakheti region to another level. As he told BM.GE, company welcomes any step forward that serves the development of the tourism potential in Kakheti region.
"Our business vision considered the potential of having an international airport in Telavi since the establishment of the resort. The mentioned decision will take Kakheti's tourist potential to a completely different level. The international airport is an important basis for the region's economic growth and creates prospects for the emergence of new businesses, " Giorgi Kevanishvili said.
At the first stage, Telavi International Airport will be intended for domestic flights, including Batumi, Mestia, Kutaisi and Ambrolauri, however, the airport plans to launch international flights from 2027.
Lopota Lake Resort & Spa has 232 rooms and employs 350 people. The average cost of a hotel stay, including breakfast and VAT amounts to USD 210 during the summer season.
