The Chairman of the CEC discussed the current election issues with the representatives of the NDI observation mission

The October 26 elections were discussed by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Giorgi Kalandarishvili and his deputy Giorgi Sharabidze at a meeting with the representatives of the observation mission of the "National Democratic Institute" (NDI). The information is disseminated by the Central Election Commission.

According to their reports, during the meeting, Giorgi Kalandarishvili spoke in detail about all the important issues related to the voting day and the subsequent period.

According to the CEC, it also focused on election disputes and court hearings, accusations against the institution and disinformation campaigns, as well as on the conclusion and findings of the third, final stage of the audit published by the American company "PRO V&V".

The parties also discussed the preliminary report of the elections of the international monitoring organization, in which the activities of the administration and the technological intervention in the voting process are positively evaluated.

"The election administration actively continues meetings with international organizations. After October 26, we held a number of meetings with representatives of the international and diplomatic corps, so that they have verified information about the activities of the administration and all current issues. After every election, the administration is notified of the reports published by international organizations. Analyzing the mentioned information and taking it into account within the scope of the possibility will have a positive impact on the election environment. At today's meeting, we discussed the NDI observation mission's preliminary election report and discussed their recommendations and findings in detail. It is important to note that the organization positively evaluates a number of activities that the administration carried out on the day of the elections", said Giorgi Kalandarishvili.

"National Democratic Institute" (NDI) observed the October 26 parliamentary elections throughout Georgia. In turn, the representatives of the organization thanked the election administration for proactive cooperation.

The meeting was held at the Central Election Commission and was attended by the representatives of the observation mission of the "National Democratic Institute" Natasha Rothchild, Rishi Datta and Robert Bistritzky.
