Today, on March 4th, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mger Grigoryan met with a high-level delegation from the World Bank, led by the Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, Antonella Bassani.
As reported by the press service of the Government of Armenia, at the outset of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan expressed satisfaction with the constructive cooperation with the World Bank in all key areas, emphasizing its importance in terms of implementing advanced practices in the country.
Special attention was paid to the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative presented by the Deputy Prime Minister. This initiative is considered a key factor not only for infrastructure development but also for establishing stability and peace in the region.
The "Academic City" initiative was also discussed. In this context, Mger Grigoryan emphasized the importance of cooperation with the World Bank in the field of education, highlighting the need to develop a more competitive education system.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the opportunities for deepening cooperation in the areas of public administration reforms, digitization, human capital, energy, and communication infrastructure, as well as the capital market.
