The EU Integration Committee discussed the Agreement between Georgia and the EU on Participation of Georgia in the “Creative Europe” program, according to which, Georgia will participate in the program as an associated state with the opportunity to be engaged in all cultural, inter-sectoral and media events.
The program aims at: protection, development and promotion of the European cultural and lingual diversity; and improvement of the competitiveness and economic potential of cultural and creative sectors, especially the audio-visual sphere.
The Committee discussed the International Agreement between Georgia and the EU on Participation of Georgia in the Program “Horizon Europe” within the EU Research and Innovation Framework, according to which, Georgia will participate in the program as an associated state and will contribute to every main part, regulated under EU 2021/695 Regulations – science, global challenges and industrial competitiveness, innovative Europe, increased participation in the European Research Area (ERA) etc.
The program envisages financing of the EU in research and innovations, funding the researches on climate changes, UN sustainable development goals and facilitating EU competitiveness.
The Committee approved the documents.
