Capital Market Expert Marina Guledani declares, that if Georgia does not return to the democratic path, carry out systemic reforms and listen to the citizens, the termination of financial support from the European Union is inevitable.
"My perception is that the European Union is sending signals to the government of Georgia to go back to the European path and in that case, they will continue to support. However, before the elections, the European Union hopes that things will return to their original state and Georgia will continue walking on the democratic path.
It is clear that the European Union does not want the population to suffer, because the citizens really do not deserve it; the choice of the vast majority of them is European integration, but the government does not follow the order of the population. Thus, decisions are accepted very facilely, and the main message of the EU leaders is that the parliamentary elections should be held democratically and the will of the people should be determined," Marina Guledani said, noting once again that she does not expect financial aid to be stopped before the elections.
