The European Union Has Allowed the Export of Pet Food From Georgia

The European Commission has positively assessed Georgia's state control system, and Georgia has been added to the list of third countries from which pet food is allowed to EU countries.
 
According to the National Food Agency, the adoption of this regulation was preceded by the National Food Agency's measures under the DCFTA agreement to bring it closer to EU legislation, which was positively assessed by a special working group of the European Commission. The legislation defines the technical procedures for exporting, as to what requirements the enterprise must meet.
 
Georgian honey (2016), Black Sea anchovy (2017), and certain categories of non-food products are also allowed to Be exported to the EU market.
