The European Commission has positively assessed Georgia's state control system, and Georgia has been added to the list of third countries from which pet food is allowed to EU countries.
According to the National Food Agency, the adoption of this regulation was preceded by the National Food Agency's measures under the DCFTA agreement to bring it closer to EU legislation, which was positively assessed by a special working group of the European Commission.
