The Ivanishvili Family, Turnava, Bekauri, Maghlaperidze... - European Parliament's sanctions list

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution titled On the Further Deterioration of the Political Situation in Georgia with 400 votes in favour, 63 against, and 81 abstentions. The resolution incorporates proposals from MEPs representing five political groups.

According to the European Parliament’s press release, MEPs assert that “Georgia’s self-proclaimed authorities have no legitimacy, recognizing Salome Zourabichvili as the country’s legitimate president, calling for EU sanctions against leading Georgian politicians.”

The sanctions list includes:

Bidzina Ivanishvili's spouse - Ekaterine Khvedelidze;
Children: Uta Ivanishvili, Tsotne Ivanishvili, Bera Ivanishvili, Gvantsa Ivanishvili;
Ivanishvili's family members - Aleksandre Ivanishvili, Shmagi Kobakhidze, Ucha Mamatsashvili;
Governor of the National Bank - Natia Turnava;
TV Imedi owner, businessman - Irakli Rukhadze;
Businessman - Ivane (Vano) Chkhartishvili;
Businessman - Sulkhan Papashvili;
Businessman - Giorgi Kapanadze (Rizha);
Parliamentarians and businessmen - Ilia Tsulaia, Anton Obolashvili and Gocha Enukidze;
Businessman - Tamaz Gaiashvili;
Chairman of the Communications Commission - Kakha Bekauri;
Head of the State Security Service of Georgia- Grigol Liluashvili;
Director of the Public Broadcasting Service - Tinatin Berdzenishvili;
Deputy Head of the State Broadcasting Service - Vasil Maghlaperidze;
Chairman of the Government of Adjara - Tornike Rizhvadze;
Judges - Mikheil Chinchaladze, Levan Murusidze;
A person close to Ivanishvili, who is mentioned as a propagandist in various sanctions lists - Lasha Natsvlishvili;
Like in the previous resolution adopted on Georgia, the European Parliament now demands the sanctions of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Irakli Kobakhidze, Kakha Kaladze, Shalva Papuashvili, Vakhtang Gomelauri and Irakli Garibashvili.

Various countries have already sanctioned some of them and are also on the sanctions lists.
