The meeting was opened with the welcome speech by Archil Mestvirishvili, Acting Governor and Vice Governor of the National Bank of Georgia. He discussed the importance of electronic payments for the national economy, the plans of the NBG in this regard, and thanked the representatives of the World Bank for analyzing the development of electronic payments in Georgia and identifying challenges in December of 2022.
World Bank specialists presented the results of their research, market assessments and expectations regarding the development of electronic payments to the participants of the interactive meeting.
