As of April 1, 2024, the population of Armenia reached 3,039,700 people, exceeding the 3 million mark for the first time in a long while.
According to the press service of the Statistical Committee of Armenia, over the past year, this figure increased by 3.3%, which is 98,200 people.
Experts suggest that the population growth could be attributed to the resettlement of residents from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.
According to the data from the third census, as of October 2022, the permanent population of Armenia amounted to 2,928,914 people.
