Levan Davitashvili, the Minister of Economy of Georgia, said both the selection of the state’s private partner and the start of construction works were underway in order to implement the project “more quickly and efficiently”.
Last year, we introduced this plan to the public in detail. So, there were no surprises, nothing unexpected happened here. We will follow the procedures stipulated by the law and the plan that we set at the initial stage of the project's implementation”, he said.
Anaklia Sea Port entity, founded in 2023 by the Georgian state together with international consultants, has already carried out preparatory works for the construction of marine infrastructure on site.
