The second auction for the privatization of 12 sanatoriums in Tskaltubo failed within the framework of the "New Life For Tskaltubo" project.
Investors did not express interest in 12 sanatoriums offered at the conditional auction by the State Property Agency on August 4. As a result, the property valued at GEL 27,396,000 - sanatoriums "Ushishroeba", "Tskaltubo", "Samgurali", "Savane", "Rkinigzeli", "Megobroba", "Imereti", "Geologi", "Gelati" and "Aia" still belong to the state.
To the question, when will be announced the next auction of state property within the framework of the government's new Tskaltubo renovation project, the National State Property Agency does not name a specific date and says:
"The agency is actively continues negotiations with the interested parties, and the auction will be initiated again in the near future", - the National State Property Agency said.
On July 5, the Georgian government presented the investment project New Life for Tskaltubo. As part of the project, on July 6, the government announced state conditional auctions for 14 projects worth GEL 50 million in Tskhaltubo.
The deadline for the announced auctions for the sale of Tskhaltubo sanatoriums expired on August 4. As a result, only 2 sanatoriums out of 14 were purchased. The first two purchased sanatoriums are sanatorium Medea and sanatorium Tbilisi.
