The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia reports on conducting tax administration among taxpayers who used POS terminals in various settlements across the country.

As a result of checking 1038 taxpayers, it was found that 545 of them did not provide the opportunity to accept non-cash payments using payment cards. The recorded violations amounted to 169.3 million drams (over $400 thousand).

The SRC reminds that according to the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On non-cash settlements," taxpayers obligated to use cash registers must ensure the possibility of accepting non-cash payments using payment cards.

It is also worth noting that pensioners and benefit recipients who make non-cash transactions in retail outlets and organizations in the territory of Armenia are entitled to a cashback of 10% of the total amount of transactions, but not exceeding 5000 drams (over $13).
