The UN Global Compact Network Georgia organized a meeting of the Transformational Governance Action Platform on the theme Transformational Governance: Beyond Commitment, Acting According to Standards. Iza Gotsadze, Head of Strategic Communications at Adjaristsqali Georgia and a Member of the Supervisory Board of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, spoke about the crucial role of strategic communication in the integration process of transformative governance.

“Strategic communication is the backbone of transformative governance. It ensures accountability, transparency, and active dialogue with stakeholders — key elements for building trust and aligning corporate behavior with global sustainability standards,” said Iza Gotsadze.

During the event, Nino Kvantrishvili, Deputy Director of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, Ana Osadze, Head of Sustainability and ESG at Bank of Georgia, and

Ia Mameishvili Head of Ethics and Compliance at Selfie, discussed the holistic approach of transformational governance, which encompasses environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.The meeting explored the concept of transformational governance, its connection to Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and its distinction from traditional corporate governance models. The Georgian-language version of the UN Global Compact’s Transformational Governance Assessment Tool was also presented.Participating companies received practical recommendations on integrating transformational governance principles into their operations - including governance processes, ethics, transparency, and accountability.
