The United States will allocate new funding of $5 million to Armenia to support and promote digital transformation. This was announced by the head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, during a joint statement with Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

"I am pleased that an application has been developed in Armenia that will help citizens obtain driver's licenses, birth and death certificates, and seek financial assistance. Digitalizing public services will first and foremost require secure and reliable digital systems that can withstand cyberattacks and are regulated by clear normative rules," Power said.

She also announced new funding of $5 million to support Armenia and advance its digital transformation.

"This will lay the foundation for the government to use information to meet the needs of its citizens," Power added.
