The US plans to enhance cooperation with Armenia in the areas of security, economy, and politics. This was stated by the Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Ben Cardin, at a press conference in the National Assembly of Armenia on July 5.
The senator visited Yerevan as part of a congressional delegation led by Senator Roger Wicker.
"We are here to show that we are your friends and to thank you for the reforms you are carrying out towards democracy," said Cardin. He noted that Armenia is a leader in democracy in this challenging region.
Cardin emphasized that the delegation's visit to Armenia once again confirms the strong ties between the two countries. "We want to strengthen ties in the areas of security, economy, and politics and find ways to further deepen the progress we have made," stated the senator.
He also highlighted the importance of this partnership not only for Armenia and the United States but also for all democratic countries worldwide.
