We have made it clear that we are concerned about the steps they have taken to divert them from the path of greater integration with Europe, and the United States stands with the Georgian people, - said the USA State Department spokesman, Matthew Miller, at a briefing.
Matthew Miller once again spoke about the retaliatory measures already taken by the USA.
"As you know, we do not discuss sanctions in advance from this tribune, but when we have statements to make about sanctions, we do them. You have already seen that we have imposed sanctions against representatives of the Georgian government, we have imposed visa restrictions, we have taken other measures, we have withheld USD 95 million from the Georgian government. We have made it clear that we are concerned about the steps they have taken to divert them from the path of greater integration with Europe," - said Miller.
According to Matthew Miller, the USA stands with the Georgian people.
