On May 14, Vice Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan met with the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Private Sector Operations Bhargav Dasgupta.
According to the government press service, Grigoryan emphasized the importance of cooperation with the ADB and highlighted its positive impact on the development of the business culture in the country.
The meeting discussed the programs implemented by the ADB in collaboration with the private sector, as well as possible new directions and mechanisms of cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the application of ADB's expertise in fostering cooperation between the government and the private sector, as well as in developing the capital market and green economy.
The ADB has been working with Armenia since 2005. As of April 2024, the Bank has implemented numerous projects in Armenia totaling $1.9 billion, aimed at developing transportation, finance, energy, water, and other infrastructure sectors.
