Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared, that the ruling party received approximately one million 120 thousand votes, which was a record number since 2012.
As he noted, Georgian Dream has a difference of 43% with the political party, which took the second place.
"We were telling our society that this was an election equal to the referendum, and it was an election equal to the 20121 election in its importance. This message reached the voters exactly. The unprecedented activity observed at these parliamentary elections was connected to this. The victory is very impressive. We have only 43% difference with the second place party. "The second-place party is 5 times behind us," said Kobakhidze.
According to the Prime Minister, the October 26 elections were decisive for the country.
"It was a decisive election for our country, where the fate of maintaining peace in our country was decided. In the end, the Georgian people made the only alternative choice, they chose peace and development of the country, they chose a bright future for the country. I want to once again thank the Georgian people, the voters, the Georgian society, for all these years, the Georgian people stood by us even in the most difficult moments. As you know, elections are a moment of special importance in the life of any country. Even in the most important moments, the Georgian people stood by us and made the only alternative choice," said Kobakhidze.
