Preparation of terrorist acts in Georgia is not surprising. According to the investigation, the role of high-ranking officials of the former government, of people who are physically present in Ukraine today, can be seen in all of this - it is not surprising that, first of all, when talking about the ill-wishers of our country, the addressee for them is Bidzina Ivanishvili, because Bidzina Ivanishvili is, first of all, the peace and guarantor of development, - the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, said while responding to the information spread by the State Security Service regarding the investigation into the preparation of the coup and terrorism, including the murder of Bidzina Ivanishvili.
According to Kobakhidze, there are dangers and the investigation that has been started indicates that these dangers are relevant in Georgia as well.
"Certainly, this information, which was released by the State Security Service, is extremely disturbing, it is about a terrorist act. This information is disturbing against the background of what has been happening in the world recently - 2 terrorist acts were committed, one in Slovakia, the other in the USA.
It is a common handwriting that characterizes the global political forces. Therefore, threats exist and the investigation that has been initiated indicates that these threats are relevant.
You remember that there was a telephone conversation with one of the European Commissioners, later the European Commissioner himself admitted that he had some kind of warning about the terrorist attack. He simply said that polarization would be the one firing the bullet. You know that polarization doesn't shoot bullets, "killers" shoot bullets. There was a kind of "messenger" to deliver relevant information to us. Of course, this is disturbing. Some people don't like the position that Georgia takes in relation to the war, there are dangers in such conditions.
It is not surprising that, according to the investigation, the role of high-ranking officials of the former government, people who are physically present in Ukraine today, can be seen in all of this. It is very important to prevent such acts and the state will do everything for this.
It is well known to everyone that Bidzina Ivanishvili is the leader of our ruling party, he is the honorary chairman of the political union, and beyond that, you are very well aware of Bidzina Ivanishvili's role in Georgian politics and his influence on political processes. Therefore, it is not surprising that Bidzina Ivanishvili was the addressee of such a possible act.
I would like to emphasize here that when the European Commissioner gave us a specific warning regarding the terrorist attack, it was a general warning and there was no talk of any politician in particular. Therefore, the addressee could be anyone. It is not surprising that, first of all, when talking about the ill-wishers of our country, the addressee for them is Bidzina Ivanishvili, because first of all, Bidzina Ivanishvili is the guarantor of peace and development in this country", said Irakli Kobakhidze.
