Kakhaber Dolidze, the founder of the handmade furniture manufacturing company Woodmetal, told BM.GE that the demand for locally produced furniture has increased, but there is a problem of qualified staff on the market.
According to him, there are many enterprises, but high-quality enterprises would develop the market further. Also, the number of employed people will increase.
"Representatives of the furniture manufacturing sector in the market have a "spoiled name" due to dishonest behavior, therefore consumers do not have confidence, which harms other companies as well.
At the same time, there is also a challenge of highly qualified staff, who would produce quality products. Many qualified personnel have gone to Europe, and it is very difficult to find a staff with good working experience, "said Dolidze.
According to him, it would be good to have a suitable school, where the students will be taught crafting to eliminate the staff problems.
