Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has praised the city's achievements in the fields of culture, sports, education, and youth policy, stating that progress has been made across all areas under the city government's supervision.
“There is no area where we have not made progress, very good and important projects have been implemented,” Kaladze said, speaking at an event summarizing key initiatives in cultural and social development.
“Today, we are discussing the area of city policy that most unites our society: Tbilisi’s cultural and sports life, education, and youth engagement.”
Kaladze highlighted Tbilisi’s enduring role as a hub of Georgian culture, sports, and education, stressing that the capital remains a city where artists, athletes, and scientists are shaping Georgia’s present and building its future.
“This requires continuous support from both the state and the municipality. I am proud of the significant efforts made at every level, efforts that have led to real, measurable results,” he noted.
Kaladze also emphasized the city’s focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, underlining the role of culture, sports, and education in building a resilient and future-ready society.
“Strengthening culture, sports, and education is one of our top priorities, not only for the future of Tbilisi but for the country as a whole,” he said.
Education, in particular, was highlighted as essential to the city’s development.
“Tbilisi cannot be a truly developed city if its youth are not educated, motivated, and actively involved in every process,” Kaladze stated.
The speech reinforced the municipality’s long-term vision of civic development through social investment and community-driven initiatives, positioning Tbilisi as a leader in both tradition and innovation.
