Salome Beraia, Commercial Director of PEGAS Touristik Georgia, the travel company will take Georgian tourists only to Turkey during the summer season, while the company will consider other countries from the fall.
According to her, Georgian citizens can travel to Turkey with a PCR test.
Salome Beraia notes, that early bookings do not work in this case, because there is no exact flight schedule.
“I cannot say that the demand is high. We expect sales right before the flights when people see that the flights are really fulfilled. It is impossible to plan a tour in advance for this season," she said.
As for Europe, Salome Beraia says, that the demand for Europe has decreased.
"There is no demand for Europe. There is a bad situation and flights are not scheduled. The economic situation is also hard. Demand was very high in 2019 and we don’t dream to return to the pre-pandemic level. Our goal is to return 20% of the pre-pandemic level. We will continue to work from the point where we stopped," she said, adding that other destinations will be added from the fall, including Dubai and Egypt.
