Galt&Taggart published research on Meat and Meat Products In Georgia. According to the document, meat imports in Georgia increased by 32.8% y-o-y amounting to USD 162.1 million.
Of which, the main share, or USD 94 million accounted for poultry meat, USD 44 million - for pork, USD 17 million - for beef, and the rest - for other types of meat products.
The largest amount of meat is imported to Georgia from Brazil, and this country holds 36% of the imports, 12% of the total amount is imported from Turkey, 8% - from China, 7% - from Ukraine, 6% - from the Netherlands, and the remaining 31% is distributed among different countries.
