In 1Q2023, mineral and freshwater exports from Georgia decreased by 20.2%. According to official statistics, the country earned USD 26.1 million from the sale of mineral waters in January-March and thus took eighth place among the largest export commodities with a share of 1.8%.
The main exporting country for Georgian mineral waters was Russia. In the reporting period, 61.7% of water exports accounted for Russia. However, despite the total decrease in the sale of mineral waters, exports to Russia increased by 12%.
