Statistical data on tourist visits to Armenia for September of this year has been published. According to the data, there has been a slight decrease in the number of tourists compared to the same period last year.
In September 2024, Armenia welcomed 236,561 tourists, which is 9.2% less than the 260,618 visits recorded in September 2023.
Despite the overall decline, the country continues to attract a significant number of visitors from neighboring countries. Russia remains the leading source of tourists, accounting for 43% of all visitors.
Georgia ranks second with 12% of the total number of tourists, followed by Iran, which contributes 8% of the visits.
The total number of tourists who visited Armenia in the first nine months of 2024 amounted to 1,722,595, which is 127,378 fewer than during the same period in 2023, when 1,849,973 tourists were recorded.
As a result, tourist flow to Armenia in the first nine months of 2024 decreased by 6.89%.
