External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 12 097.6 million in January-July 2023, 18.0 percent higher year-on-year, reads the recent data of the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat) published on Monday.
The value of export increased by 15.7 percent reaching USD 3 575.6 million, while the import increased 19.0 percent and amounted to USD 8 522.1 million.
The trade deficit equaled USD 4 946.5 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.9 percent, GeoStat says.
