According to the Roads Department of Georgia, traffic along the Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili route near the village of Giorgitsminda is temporarily halted.
A landslide has occurred at the 96th kilometre of this strategically important road, resulting in a complete suspension of all traffic.
Relevant equipment has been mobilised to the site, and road clearance operations will commence as soon as water levels subside, ensuring safety and swift restoration.
