Tbilisi is planning to buy 160 new 18-meter-long CNG buses. The corresponding tender was published by the State Procurement Agency on May 11.
The bidding period only includes two days May 18 - 19 ( until 12:30).
The City Hall will spend about GEL 259,276,000 – GEL 1,620,475 per bus.
As of the technical details of the buses, bidders must meet the following requests:
"The bus manufacturer must have the experience of supplying and manufacturing at least 500 (five hundred) 18-meter long CNG-powered buses in the EU countries during the last 5 (five) years (2018.01.01 - 2023.01.01.) In order to confirm the aforementioned, the bidder must submit the document(s) confirming the delivery through the unified electronic system.
The proposed bus manufacturer must have at least 15 (fifteen) years of production experience in urban buses from 12 to 18 meters long (any model). The bidder must submit a document issued by the bus manufacturer and/or the official website of the manufacturer through a unified electronic system.
If the bidder is not a manufacturer, it must have produced at least 50 (fifty) buses of the same model (with the same engine, the same fuel system, the same axles) during the last 3 years (2020.01.01 - 2023.01.01. and gearboxes)", - the document reads.
The companies will be able to request GEL 40 million from the City Hall in advnace.
